Setting the Record Straight on Fake News About CCTV Companies in India

It has come to our notice that several unverified and fake news items are circulating in media about some Chinese CCTV companies not being allowed to sell in India from 1st April 2026. We would like to clearly state that the news appearing in these sections of media is unverified, incorrect, and false.

STQC

As per current regulatory norms, STQC Certification is mandatory only for IP Cameras. This certification does not mean that companies or products without it are banned. This requirement does not apply to other product categories.

Products Not Affected by This Requirement

The STQC certification requirement applies only to IP Cameras. The following product categories are not covered by this regulation and continue to be sold freely:
